Nazia Roushan

Trained as an architect, Nazia is passionate about designing with people and advocating for the underserved—the “other 90%.” Just before the pandemic, she transitioned into UX design to explore how open-source housing can become accessible to communities on the margins of the digital divide. Rooted in architecture’s role as a vehicle for physical, emotional, and social shelter, she aims to expand this mission through both digital and physical innovation—pushing for more equitable living and transformative public services in cities.

Nazia is a co-founder and community architect at POCAA. She holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from BRAC University and a Master’s in Urban Studies from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, gardening, and exploring cities with her children.
